I picked up your shot from the critique request thread in the photography forum. You need to enable critiques on your images if you want genuine critiques.

Standard critique disclaimer: These are my personal opinions based on the way I compose, shoot and edit my shots, they are not facts.

Very nice composition, some very strong elements being used and the land to sky balance is good. Given the large range between highlight and shadow you've done well to capture it so well. I especially like the subtle shades in the hills behind, very nice indeed. Couple of things to watch in your post processing, I would have tried to remove some of the airplane vapour trails as the severe white lines spoil the shot, very distracting. They are the curse of the modern landscape shooter. Where possible I avoid them or try to wait until they dissipate enough to work in the shot. Try to consider using some selective contrast adjustment in the shot, this is where a pen/tablet comes in useful. The highlight/shadow balance is good on the town but I'd be tempted to play with the contrast to make it really punch out. Lower the saturation a little in the far right where the sun is. As I was saying in my forum post colours and tones can be subtle and suggest moods and feelings, you don't have to crank up the orange for someone to know it's sunrise/sunset. There are some things that we human beings understand implicitly and if they're not there as much as we'd like, we will fill them in for ourselves anyway.

Overall I think you have damn fine image here with just a few small issues. I'd be proud of an image like this!
